MAN POWER

This is the very short video of me closing the lift bridge on the Prees Arm. It`s the only one that is operated by sheer physical strength and a chain instead of using a windlass to operate the hydraulic mechanism on the other bridges.

Hi Grey Wolf
Actually i think it`s easier to just use the chain as the windlass wind is quite long, although i have heard that some of the chain operated bridges on other parts of the system can be very hard to operate but i think this one being a listed structure has been well maintained.

Great video Les! I had a good chuckle at your little dance on the end of the chain! Glad you won the bout!
