Entering Cassiobury park

It`s been a busy few weeks with family and friends visiting as we pass through what I call home turf. The last place I lived on land was in Luton which is thw Marsworth area and I also lived in Watford so for quite a conciderable distance we have been invaded in the nicest possible way. Now having moved on although as usual the blog is trailing behind we are looking forward to entering London.
I have always wanted to stay here. It is just after coming down through Lady Capels lock in Cassiobury park.. It is very wide where we moored with the golf course behind and a nice view of the turnover bridge where the towpath changes from one bank to the other. The horse drawn boats would just keep going without un-hitching the horse such is the design of the bridge.

Aeriel view showing the wide part of the canal.

Home Park Ex lock keepers cottage £399,997 ($600,000)

Another here at the Grove bridge 165. £795,000 ($1.2 million)
All I can say to U.S. readers is yes I have seen what you get for that money stateside but remember the UK is a small island and land is expensive. Include a watery view and the price increases. This one has the benefit of getting a car alongside the building. The Home Park one has very restricted vehicle access.
