| No need for your specs when Kath on Nb Bobcat approaches. You can spot the cat`s eyes from quite a distance. Kath moored up for tea and cake as all good boaters do. Had been a long time since we crossed paths so it was good to natter. |

I had a quick half in the Rising Sun whilst lock wheeling on my bike from Cowley to Bulborne (The Navigation) in one day in 1970, it was a baking hot day and I was gasping.

Must have been so different 40+ years ago. The canals I mean. A pint is refreshing in any year.
