Happy Anniversary to my Heart's Desire!

Then..
Dear Sir,
Thank you for traveling 5000 miles to find me--and for not letting me go.
Sincerely and with all my love,

Jaqueline

A year ago today Les and I stood on Kamiak Butte and pledged our lives to one another. How quickly time flies--whether you are having fun--or not!!
Fortunately for me and Les, we have great fun with one another. We "get" each other; we laugh like maniacs over silly things, and then laugh at our laughter. We watch out for another and take care of each other.
...and now!
For the first time in my life I have a true partnership on every level. I feel respected, appreciated, adored, accepted, and known for who I truly am inside my skin--and loved for it.
And that fabulously romantic English bloke who convinced me to marry him feels similarly, although not for the first time. If he feels as happy and loved with me as he was with Val then we are doing fine.
Thank you Les. Here's to many more years and miles through life together!

Dear Jaq and Les--

Congratulations to both of you on this first of many anniversaries. Jaq, I can't tell you how often I remember our conversation one day on the stairs in Van Doren Hall, when you told me excitedly about the PBS program of the night before about narrow boats. You told me, too, that while you were watching, you had a strong feeling, an intuition, that this was how you wanted to spend the rest of your life. How prescient you were! And how happy I am for both of you that you have found your heart's desire.

Thank you everyone! We have the best of all worlds and tremendous friends--on the cut, ashore in Britain, and across the Pond in America.

Adam, thanks for that! I think living aboard does add years to one's life. We were steeped in stress a year ago, with the wedding plans, trying to get my visa, and wrap things up over there.

Charmaine, how lovely to hear from you and yes, a dream is wish our heart makes and they do come true!! Find your passion and follow it. Keep your nose to the joy trail and sniff out joy!

Hi Shirley! We are so happy to know you are still following along with us. True love does float!! We are living proof!!

Hi Carol--I hope we see you soon!

Elsie, we are so relieved to hear Eric is out of hospital and back home aboard Bendigedig. Maybe we will cross paths again this year. Senign healing hugs and love to you both. :)

Hi Aly, It appears boaters as well as cats have nine lives!! :)

Derek and Carrie,
I'm sorry we missed you on the Middlewhich. I hope we cross paths again before the year is out. Thanks for the good wishes!

Joe and Sally,
We are so excited we will be seeing you over here in October and over there in November!! I can already taste the Grand Sevilles!!

Pip & Roger,
Thank you and we do hope our paths cross one day soon, long enough to have a good old natter and a cuppa at least. Take care!

Love and good wishes to you all,
Jaq & LesXX
