Our late afternoon appointment means traveling back in the rush hour at double the price so we shall put the £29 ($45) saved towards dinner in London then travel back in comfort after the rush.
The towpath grass cutters came along today and knocked on the boat asking if we wanted to move as the very edge was to be strimmed -U.S. readers think weed whacker- for the last time this summer. Umm! No I do not want to move as I was sitting in my PJ`s eating breakfast at 9.45. Now the contractors start cutting back the towpath hedges, can`t possibly have a speeding cyclist catching themselves on a branch.
No not a lazy B for not being up earlier I have an excuse. Four a.m. we awoke to the boat tilting at an alarming angle, water had dropped eight inches, and I had to go out and loosen both bow and stern lines and push the boat off a ledge.
We have now moved up still can`t get the stern in to the bank.
It will all wash off when we get water and turn south again after tomorrow. |

Lovely fall day in Pullman

The cyclists will probably be slowed down by punctures now that the thorns are cut off and lying on the towpath... Hopefully no dog paws will be harmed!
Thinking of you both

LOL Alistair!
You are doubtlessly correct about the thorns and while I don't much care for dogs I would never wish ill of one.
Thank you for your continuing support and encouragement, It means a lot!
